Bell Park Kerridge were one of only 2 firms of solicitors who attended the City Councils Landlord event held at the Civic Centre, the event was aimed at raising awareness of changes to the law and offer expert solutions on best practice.

The downturn in the economy is seen as an opportunity for landlords. Rents are increasing and the number of people looking to rent is growing. The speculative buy to let market funded by borrowing is all but dead – but for landlords in it as a business and for the long term there are opportunities.

Bell Park Kerridge's Paul Forster was on hand along side the police, trading standards officers and health and safety executive officer to give guidance and help to the local private and social housing landlords who attended the event.
